Who’s James Green, you ask?

Well, he’s an award-winning freelance Director and Writer; independently working within comedy, commercials, short film and music video. Satisfied?

Originally from a multi-disciplinary background, with many years spent as an Editor and Creative, James' approach has broad influences.

Where early work employed vibrancy and youthful energy, his style has since moved into a cinematic and stylistic approach, with story and performance firmly at the forefront.
He's developed an exaggerated take on the world, with meticulous precision in his visuals and a passion for character; regularly striking a fine balance between surreal and realism, comedy and drama.

He's gained nominations at the UKMVAs, Berlin Commercial, "Best New Director" nominations at Kinsale Sharks, 4 x Promax Europe and Global Awards (with 7 x nominations), and various selections at BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals, including Raindance, Atlanta Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, with more on the way.
He also won a medal for Table Tennis aged 13, but didn’t want to brag.

Happy customers include:

Much like a seasonal cold, he knows how to go viral, with his music videos gaining over 1.6 million Youtube views, and social content attracting over 17.3 million views and 2.6 million likes on TikTok.

He once nearly walked into Mark Kermode in Soho, who cursed at him. So, you could say, he’s already getting strong reactions from critics.

News & Slate:

  • James’ new Dramedy short film "Victory To The Mimers" is currently entering the film festival circuit. Updates soon.

  • He’s currently writing his debut feature-length screenplay, which will be a comedy thriller.

  • He’s really getting into gardening.

  • He can reluctantly yet confidently write about himself in the 3rd person, but also the 1st person. Maybe the 2nd and 4th.
But never the 5th, that’s far too many people.
